CHOICE Graduation Ceremony
Each year, the CHOICE Homeschool program hosts a beautiful graduation ceremony for our seniors. The ceremony is generally held on the last weekend of May at General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn, the church with which our program is affiliated. Depending on the number of seniors, we will either have the CLASS students participate in our campus school ceremony (on a separate night) or combine the CLASS and CHOICE seniors into a single night for their graduation.
The seniors each wear a cap and gown, and enter the room after their guests have been seated. During the ceremony, a PowerPoint presentation (created by CHOICE staff from pictures parents provide) will be shown in honor of the graduates. After the PowerPoint presentation, each parent will present a diploma to their child. We arrange for the parent/guardian to have approximately 3-5 minutes for a short statement. The student will then be given the microphone and asked to make a short speech (at least to say thank you).
After the ceremony, each student will have an area in the reception hall designated for their gifts, pictures, etc. Parents decorate their area and provide any desired refreshments for their guests.
