Each of our students is served on an individual basis. Our academic projections are made according to that student’s achievement prior to enrollment with C.H.O.I.C.E. Individualized testing will be determined based upon each student’s needs. C.H.O.I.C.E. will make the recommendations, but the parent or guardian will make the final decision.
High school students who are only testing for credit, but are not enrolling for the entire academic year, will be charged according to individual needs.
The basic enrollment fee for one year (12 months) is $60. A “records request” form will be sent to the student’s previous school, requesting all records. The local Board of Education will be notified of the student’s enrollment. Also included in this fee is the option to request to view the scope and sequence (a basic layout of what the student will learn in each book) of core subjects as well as some electives.
In order to promote accountability and confidence in parents and students, and to ensure that our students become educated and skilled adults, we need measurable academic achievement. In an attempt to accomplish this goal, standardized testing is given in the spring of each year. After your curriculum plan is developed, a $45 fee will be charged each year for this annual evaluation. Beginning in 2nd grade, all students are required to test, with the exception of students in the 10th – 12th grades who decide to take the ACT or SAT. If students in those grades choose not to take either the ACT or SAT, the standardized testing will then be required of them also.
